FAQ

How do I manage my website?

First port of call is the clickonIT Client Portal.

Login using the email address you signed up with and the password you used then.

Lost or forgotten your password? Reset it at the login screen

In the Client Portal is a one-login account manager that gives you access to;

  • all the administrative parts of your account (orders, invoices, emails, notices, etc)
  • the services and products you have engaged
  • access to individual control panels where they exist for your various products and services
  • technical and sales support

In most cases you will also have direct access to control panels for various services like hosting or backup.

Details of these are provided to you in a welcome email when you signup for services. Print these emails as you receive them and file them in your website manual for future reference. You will need them again one day. You can always get a new copy of service welcome emails from the Client Portal if required.

Online help and video tutorials are available for most aspects of configuring and managing your facilities.

Assistance at any level is available to get you started or in an ongoing management capacity through our free online help or as a commercial webmaster service .

Mailing Lists and SPAM

clickonIT has a Zero Tolerance for spam sent from any of its accounts.  However this does not mean that you cannot operate acceptable and profitable mailing lists from your account.

To use a mailing lists responsibly through clickonIT you must comply with at least two spam-related legal codes

Australian Spam Act

CAN-SPAM

Regrettably the mailing list tools provided with cPanel and Plesk hosting accounts although powerful have shortcomings, the main one being they are difficult to use.

We recommend using MailChimp – it’s very easy, its’ extremely powerful, the reporting is fantastic and it is free.
